binding stone painting (idk what to call it yet)

 decided to paint one of the binding pics i took!! Started doing it in acrylic as I already have another oil painting on the go of archangel michael .. I started by staining the paper this orange brown colour, as I wanted to do it in a greyscale blue kinda colour. Was rlly annoying me bc it looked so off and i couldnt work out why. Also was finding it frustrating trying to work with acrylic as it was drying and i wanted to be able to blend bits. tHis is when i decided I was going to spend the rest of the day using acrylic to do a solid underpainting/kinda and then start using oils the next day. I wanted the kind of Grisaille effect you got from using burnt siena anyway. I was worried the siena was going to make it look too warm as ~I wanted a more cool grey tones goin on, but decided since siena is a type of underpainting anyway, if i didnt like it i could go over it again with bluer n cooler grays.  I have been intending for a while to take some photos/make a photo of binding with clingfilm.  I kind of tested it last year when i was in my shithole of a flat, as i didnt know if it would work, and been meaning to do it since then, however my cameras been broken as it has mould in it (in the SD n battery slots) and since im getting surgery in december so i need to sort this b4 then lmao so managed to borrow my grandads camera.  I did consider taking them with my phone or webcam, but I really wanted to mess with shutter speed and ISO. Since binding with clingfilm is difficult as it is not safe for binding (obviously) and it comes kinda loose p quickly, I decided to take some tests in my binder.  I wrote out a lil list of some variety of shots to try and then set up camera and got to it. Ended up not really looking at the list. I think they came out p good, some hit or miss. good place to evaluate before doing some with using clingfilm.  Also realised how my bi...
