B&W roll - ILFORD XP2 400
nature reserve
an ok photo. nothing spectacular.
again, an ok photo. i think landscapes dont really benefit from black and white... the greens need to be there i feel. i like the glow of the sky but it takes over the image a bit too much in this i think. ive been trying to bare in mind lately when doing light meter readings to lower the settings a bit as the sky tends to blow out, i think with colour you can kinda get away with it due to different colours in the image and being able to differentiate things easier, whereas with black and whte it relies on form a lot more .
was looking forwards to seeing how this image came out and it came out pretty nice.. esp the droplets of water off the wire.
really wish i couldve got closer to take a better pic and line it up mor etce but it was already quite a muddy day so had to deal with the angle i had..
love the glow coming from the water in this one and the rounded framing of the trees
from walk to the skate park
i like phoneboxes..
like the three layers to this img, the first reflection, the phone, and then the ad in the background
i should go on a reflection walk with a colour roll maybe..saul leiter esque

i like takin pics of signs
tree
i like this one. nice shapes cutting into the sky
tried to take a picture but couldnt look through lens / had to hold camera above my head. so is out of focus but whatever thats ok. clothes look good in black and white i think, and the shoes..
dont know what hapened here
another sign..
another duo. but this time its benches. never seen benches look like this.. i was going to take a photo of them straight on but i thought this angle looked more interestin
chalk ,
what
liked this tree shape with a chunk out of it
i seem to like twos... ?
might crop this... take a chunk off the top and a chunk off the bottom.
texturee.. this came out well, happy with it.
when taking this i liked the light in the doorway of the building and the reflection of the streetlight in the window, but dont think the pic came out that well
abergavenny:
my focus / ghost screen stopped working, so all the forward photos are guessed focus wise and im pretty happy with them !
lots of lines in this which i like. the lines of the roads and railings and the wires in the sky
bin
a simple scene. houses and the back hills. i like the contrast between the darker houses at the front and the bright white ones further down the street.
like the shadow slice.
liked the layers of the buildings when taking this.. i surprisingly like how much of the image the grass takes up - pretty much the whole bottom half
this photo looks old
tried to capture the framing of the window, but i guess the exposure what a tad too much. also its wonky
think i pressed a button on the bottom of my camera that rolls/slackens the film so took a blank one just in case lol
mumbles when we went to buy a tent:
really enjoy the lines from the railing/building works in this.
three cliffs bay holiday park:
wanted to see what the sky texture looked like in black and white and it came out nice
i like how this picture came out.. took a while figuring out what kinda angle i wanted to go for
thought the fire thing would look cool in black and white.. this was the end of my film it turned out, so lucky i got the whole thing in just about:)
colour (kodak colorplus200)
\at three cliffs bay still
this photo i loveee.. i like the yellow paths and i like how greens look in this film so i took a lot of green pics which was to be expected anyway.
the yellow green and blue go togetehr nicely and i additionally the the pink flowers poking up at the bottom of the frame.

i liked the snakey water paths
took a picutre of the same thing i guess lol
ok
really like this too...
nice ncice.. how the trail of rocks turn into tents and caravans.. desiree being in the picture helps show how windy it was lol
:)
surprised this was in focus :)
had to lean so far back to get the tent door in haha
cant decide what i think of this one. maybe a touch overexposed is throwin it off?
to the beach , through the forest
the trickles of light threw the light meter off i tihnk and i knew that was gonna happen, next time ill dial it down more,,,
loveeeeestones stones
sat by that lil building to draw the castle in the trees
whoosh i guess
yesssssssss yes. got me thinking about desire paths.... marks and evidence of things being where theyre no longer...
wanted to capture the GREEEEEEN
got a close up of the soggy seaweed or whatver it is
too much light !
i like having people in photos... but its difficult to try do it without ppl noticiing and then changing what theyre doing.. i think i actually told desiree to wet hair again bc she stopped n i was mad bc i was trying to take a photo, so i guess this is kinda STAGED !
clouds look unreal... i like the horizon trickling through the door
the railings were quite blue but you cant really see it in this image
so glad this picutre came out well...
mmmmm. yum.
i like the deep shadows in the hills an also the fact theyre 2 vans sat side by side in the very corner is very nice
the sun is crazy !!!! yeahhhh,
bumpy grassss
bumpy grassss
neigh
campsite in llanthony
just noticed the tree on its own in the middleee :(
loved the sky and the light it was casting on the building. didnt intend to get all those people in, but it turned out a nice image so cant complain too much
bin
binnnnnnnns
thoughts...
i am taking a lot of film pictures..
is novelty wearing off? are my pictures getting worse with excessiveness and less thought? however at the same time its good to take a lot of pictures to practice and also im still kinda figuring out what i want to shoot..

i dont want to abandon black and white. i think i just need to find how to make it work for me, and also figure out what i like about it and how i can use it.
want to take less 'scene' photos and take more photos of objects as i think i like those photos better, however that might be difficult with my camera and the broken ghost image.
i dont wanna be a colour snob, but colour really helps accentuate the form of stuff... with black and white i think it can blend together sometimes and id prefer more contrast which you can't always alter urself and can be hard to find
