a week in art // 01-07 april 2024

Monday 1st april

Did some stuff with ink which was really fun... gonna keep trying to do little art experiments and stuff as its good to build some skillllsss... thinkin of trying negative space next... remember doing it at 6th form once or so.

first try,,, i used a dip pen... turned out okish..

did these using brush

started doodling with dip pen but didnt end up spraying it...ended up being inspired by the book im readin atm

went back to flowers... really enjoyed doing theseeeeeeee.. didnt spray the first one as like it and wanna hang it in my roooooooooom

i sprayed the last 2 but waited too long and the ink dried dried so it didnt really do much..

think if i do this agian i need to maybe do it as a speed challenge also... so can spray b4 ink is dry.. maybe if i do i so the ink is very fresh itll be more interesting and can also use less water as found i had to soak it to bring the ink up...

thoughts...
havent been able to work on deld doc much, but i have managed to fit little bits of art around other stuff... also got to mid week last week and didnt kno what to do as for a lot of stuff i need to wait for car back to get certain equipment or to rescan shopping lists...
have so much to be doing its overwhelming... especially the deld doc... might start hand writing some of it out while re doing the google doc, might make it calmer.
Finding making these posts is rlly helping me do stuf and also keep track of what im doing and what ive done so i dont feel unaccomplished...
idk How im supposed to get everything done... not even a lifetime is long enough for my todo lists i swear... deld,, have been wanting to rewrite my dissertation for a very long while, other writing stuff i wanna do, a sleep album idea i had a week or so ago.... gosh.

Tuesday 2nd April

went to townnnnnn..

went to library n got this book out

was gonna scan shopping lists but someone was using the computer with the scanner and i waited an hr b4 i got bored n went to empire exchange..

found a vhs, dvd, and some random records that idk what they sound like so cant wait to listen to them while painting

Waterstones

went to waterstones and looked at some of the art books and photography books for ideas for the design n laoyut of my shopping list zine... took some photos of some for reference...

been wanting to buy a book in a while.. yes i have enough that i havent read yet but whatererver.rr.

been wanting to try read this proust book for a while and also have a copy of crime n punishment in hardback n i dont like reading hardbacks n ive kept finding a reason to not buy a paperback of it but 2day i decided to get over it,,, so what for reall.

also saw these2 books that looked interesting both in terms of contents and the page design and took a piccy of them

not rlly art, but bought some nice showergel,,, and also some nail polish

also got a copy of 20th century woman for a quid but idk where the photo went..

pizzaaa then home n watched tv. while waiting for the bus there was a truck making an alert noise about turning left so recorded it for bnw sound project

in bed n edited the bnw sound recorded while waiting for the bus n also turned it into a bit of a track.

sounds motorik-y...

came up with a few words,, but not right yet i dont think.. tried to generate voice on audition but sounds a bit too robotic.. want a kinda gps-y voice?
Alsoo added the notes to a doodle i did a while ago n i think its very fitting for it....

also scheduled the rest of the bnw sound stuff on u tube

Wednesday..
Read lotsss.... had to stop reading to go to work !!!!!!!!! Ah.
home from work.. ate, watched tv, sketched some pillowwwwwwws

Thursday 4th April

felt like a flop all day.. read a bit. went to work. pillow sketched a bit more. might eventually paint background blue.......

worked on deld doc a bit... no clue how im actually gonna shoot this.

Friday 5th April

had workkkk again...
watched this is england and did a few bits:

deld doc... got a bit chunk done... forget how easy it is to work once u get into it... time flew by.. its nearly 4am now.. whoopss

Saturday 6th April

work again !!

got home ate shittonnnnn
watched ep 4 of this is england and painted pillows more and deld doc more of

Sunday 7th April

painted for a couple hours and listened to the records i got on tuesday.. enojyed them all
