screenshots googlemaps

 thinking about photos took on the 27th of the shops etc
death of 3rd spaces,, n my hometown, shops n stuff that have been shut down. 
bc u can go back in time on google maps, i decided to take some screenshots of stuff thats now disappeared.

remembered there was an old cinema that i dont remember that my mum would always talk about as we went past as the destruction site was there for years.
liked the thought/imagery of this gaping hole of where something used to be. Also vividly remember the marking on the back wall of what looks like where some stairs used to be.

Also could lead to the concept of DESIRE PATHS, and the human version of it (eg markings/where things have worn away, evidences of existences). was thinking about the latter last night, when looking at my top surgery scars and how our bodies change leaving marks from how we habitually and personally/individually move our bodies.

where the old swimming baths/leisure centre (which i do rememeber a tad) used to be that got knocked down and turned into a car park..

there are some shops on the highstreet that have shut and are long gone, but cant see them on google maps 

Would be interesting to do some sort of 'photography' project using google maps. Dont know how that would work in terms of copyright etc but the idea is there i guess
