WALES POST::
Overall conclusion.
Want to try different shutter speeds i think.
Get a roll of film and go on walk/experiment? also with film can be more intentional and also have a set number of photos to take, rather than clicking away excessively. And can hopefully too want to learn more about n get to know and understand more the settings of a camera without having a screen to check, and spending time trying to change it and miss the moment i want to capture.
Go on Photog walk.
try different ISO on the same image and tweak the other settings and compare...
go to multistory or somewhere with lots to see n shoot with big lens
photograph some textures?
Likes:
Juxtapositions, Strong lines,
like the distant scenes where theres a lot to zoom in on.
CARPARK:::::
thoughts for next shoot.
Think im going to go about where i live..
would like maybe to try get more details/objects with far lens.. Like an ashtray etc?
Take multiple photos of the same thing with different settings to see the effects/differences.
when using longer lens use faster shutter speed to get sharper imgs
After the next shoot, might get a roll of film and go on a shoot?
texture photos take with lower ISO? as dont really need the texture from the high ISO as it gives the actualy texture less detaillll....
conc.
like photos that are a whole scene. renaissance-y, where's waldo vibe. Loads of 'Characters'/ people. If ever had chance would print them really big so can see all the different stuff going on.
can use the f stop to get more stuff in focus. For example stuff i cant photograph straight on if its higher than me like the graffiti and then the whole thing will be in focus.
go out in evening maybe?
try using higher f stop to make images with a lot of depth Crisp
28TH:::::
go to federal again, take bigger lens... try create frames within the frame ( insp by saul leiter post )
BIRDWATCHING::::
NOTES
-was walking in the city the other day, n saw some more multistoreys so might go up them
-Might go on a walk and only use Long lens n shoot close range.
- need to shoot for rooms essay
- want to shoot at night n write a substack/essay about night time.
- maybe go out n take a limited number of photos? dont look at screen, use light meter maybe?
not interested in photography of buildings n not rlly interesting in taking pics of birds either, but will do it for fun.
Try more blurry ones with higher iso for grittiness
take some v under exposed and v over exposed n try edit/'correct' thm see what happens
