wrote essay on spectator - difference between epic theatre n reg theatre.. 
spectator having space to experience things differently to how the characters do on stage.. They arent feeling the emotions of the character but are perceiving and spectating it.

brecht tore down 4th wall,, wanted to show the theatre was being put on for a purpose and was relevant to life.
didnt try hide any mechanics of production - scene changes in view, apparatus of stage lights etc. this wasnt an illusion of reality and obviously constructed to tell a story and say something
