This Consciousness that is aware by Emily Dickinson
Walt Whitman - To Think of Time
Matthew Arnold - The Buried Life
O Me! O Life! by Walt Whitman

Look into the silver screen,
Tell me, do they love you?
Carried away by the (silver?) stream
The stars - the will direct you.

To be somebody
its a pain that they see me
oh - do be perceived
oh - oh daring
to be.

If the ship keeps sailing
how much can it change
and still be the same?
rebuilt and replaced
with the same exact face.

To be reborn
left you tired and sore

left asking what's this for?

river, lake, drowns in his self image
soul is the driver of the ship

picnic by the river photo by nan goldin

step into river, water up to knees, image,

river -> ocean

im ready to grow
but im afraid my bones may have set
seeds have been scraped out
now all is left is a deep pit
hollowed out a well that waits
for change to be spent
well,,, 6 syllables
5 syllables rhyme with spent

the cold isnt biting hard enough at my skin
i stand there, sleepy and dim
the sun begins to rise
i stand so young
the trees so wise
waiting for the reprise.
The leaves, they wither in ice
but not without leaving a bright
rusty impression of a promised return. SACRIFICE??
its easy to forget it will all come back around
when the ground is so very dry.
Generally the same,
but different within.

MORE TO ADD
ADD SOME NOTES ADDRESSING THE AUDIENCE IN THE POEM
off desirees powerpoint and suggested the theory of individualism might be helpful to her:
todays media where today the character is one person (individualism) and a personality is the selling point of the medium such as reality tv stars, yters, influencers. This piece wont b fueled by the stereotypes of today. many young ppl feel pressure to look within themselves and contemplate who they want to portray to the world 'perform'
Project to help ppl realise that creating yourself is the journey of life and is constantly evolving. you wont be the same person in ur 20s and ur 30s and 40s etc.

performance film, the fool story,
90s films and the softness?
individualism, 1s make up millions (youre the only one vs youre only one but ones make up millions)
SOFT FOCUSsss, warmth?,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul#Socrates_and_Plato
'Plato considered the psyche to be the essence of a person'
'Plato said that even after death, the soul exists and is able to think.'
'Aristotle believed that only one part of the soul was immortal namely the intellect (logos)'
'The Platonic soul consists of three parts:
the logos, or logistikon (mind, nous, or reason)
the thymos, or thumetikon (emotion, spiritedness, or masculine)
the eros, or epithumetikon (appetitive, desire, or feminine)

The parts are located in different regions of the body:
logos is located in the head, is related to reason and regulates the other part.
thymos is located near the chest region and is related to anger.
eros is located in the stomach and is related to one's desires'

'Plato also compares the three parts of the soul or psyche to a societal caste system. According to Plato's theory, the three-part soul is essentially the same thing as a state's class system because, to function well, each part must contribute so that the whole functions well. Logos keeps the other functions of the soul regulated.'
