Final Portraits

Because I couldn't decide on what photos to use, I decided to try look at them as a layout using word.

#1 is with the older portrait as its own photo.

#2 i tried it with the edited morgue photo

these two are with trying a different 'main portrait' in the top right compared to the other two. and also with trying two different middle right ones.

overall, i decided to go with this layout. I think the editing with just the photo and flower looks nice, and the gazes in all the other photos compliment each other well

  2. This some sick shit. The vibe reminds me of Vada Vada a place made up by the shears twins aka The Garden

  3. I absolutely love the composition of your series and the way you've introduced other mediums such as text, etc. You've really thought outside the box and created a compelling and visually stunning narrative

  5. Really love the artists you chose for research, and I think you got some truly gorgeous pictures, that were great composition-wise. The final images were a nice combination of some of your research, I particularly love the shot of your character looking over their shoulder/ to their left outside, the tone and atmosphere of the photo makes a wonderful aesthetic, with all that colour, they look like stills from an action scene. The studio photos were also wonderfully unique in their own right, and the piece centred had a very slapstick feel that really worked in it's favour, loved seeing this more realistic view of the character contrasting with the comical style. Wonderfully curious.

  6. The story behind your photographs is so detailed and imaginative, I adore that you almost created a whole different set-up and world for your series. My favourite is the one where you seem to be running away with the painting - it's slightly comedic but wonderfully so. I really love it.

  9. Yeah, your Eggleston pictures were really could. I liked the one with the underground sign and the one feeding the dog. ANYWAY, I think that your narrative to your series is really interesting. I could have been interesting to see it as a photo book as well? But yeah I liked the crime board thing.

  10. I like the pose in the centre image, it feels comically over the top and helps bring the whole story idea together. Also the make up was really good.

  11. I think your idea and images are very playful, I do feel as though it would have been nice to have seen your character in a different environment to tell more of a narrative.
